Phillip Livas is one of the most dynamic players to ever play at Louisiana Tech as he tied the NCAA record for career returns for touchdown in his senior season. He is the only player that, over the last three seasons, has scored a touchdown four different ways (reception, rush, punt return, kickoff return) with each being a play of 70 yards or greater. Averaging 137.4 all-purpose yards per game, even the top teams in the nation struggle to stop him. He has been named to the All-WAC first team, second team and the WAC Special Teams Player of the Week four times.
On and off the field Phillip is a very humble young man. A favorite among the fans, he is always willing to stop and chat. He is also very active in the community service projects the football team is involved in. Most recently, he and several players went to the Louisiana Methodist Children’s Home to visit with the children who reside there. Phillip’s easy going personality makes him a favorite among his teammates and coaches.
